Clownfish don't become "pregnant". I notice that the same day my clowns lay eggs the female is a bit rounder, but only on the day they are laying. Otherwise, she always looks they same, and they lay eggs exactly every two weeks.

Exactly. When the pair begins "cleaning", it is about to happen.

Well, shes NEVER been that fat before, and I only feed once a day and I have a bunch of other fish in the tank, so there is no way she can get that fat by eating food. lol I'll spy on the tank and see if they are cleaning a spot. I just noticed this morning that shes that fat.

Females eggs become very hydrated and obese when preparing to lay, and you can actually see the ovipositor when she is really ready.
