I bought a clownfish 2 weeks ago and she is not eating anything since then. And she always stays in one corner, swimming very weak. I am worried. Is there any way I can make her feel better?

For a reference...

water temp - 80 degree
ph - 8.2
ammonia, nitrate, nitrite - 0
salinity - 1.022

I check water everyday and I think water seems no problem.

here is the pic

and video showing how she swims

Thank you guys for help in advance.

I have not watched the video yet I have dial up, but I would be worried if my fish had not eaten in 2 weeks. I would get her some cyclopeeze. Soak it in some selco to get her some extra fatty acids. I also use liquid garlic. You may want to pick up some live brine shrimp too to try to get her to eat. What are you trying to feed?

what are you you using to feed him? call up the lfs and see what they were feeding and get what they used. also live brine shrimp should work. i dont see anything really wrong with his swimming except he looks a bit weak. clownfish swim really funny. when i got mine at first he swam really wierd, its just how they are. but try and get diffrent food asap!!! he needs to eat.

I usually feed Selcon soaked frozen mysis shrimp but she never touch those. So I think I will try live brine shrimps. I should be able to get that in LFS right? Thank you all for help. :)

Yeah, try a variety of foods. The two I've had were quite finicky at first. I agree with giving the LFS a call. If he's used to one type of food, he may just not be too excited about trying anything new. Then, just keep a close eye on him and check for any spots, discolorations, rapid breathing or the like. The clown I got just recently stopped eating and started having trouble swimming when he came down with brook, but I'd bet yours is just stressed. Just get him eating and I bet he'll be fine. Good luck.

Thank you all for advice.
I bought a bottle of Garlic Guard and used it with frozen mysis shrimp yesterday. But my clownfish is not still eating. And seem like she is getting little white spots. Looks like Ich but I don't have any other tank to put her in to try the ich medicine. Sorry for being so newbie. Please help. :(

nothing wrong with being a newbie.

2 weeks is probably too long to go without eating. You are definately in an uphill battle at this point. Try the live brine just to get him eating. My guess is that he is a wild caught fish and doesn't equate the dead food as being food. Live brine is one of the most successful stimuli for the eating response, cyclop-eeze as someone else mentioned and oyster eggs are also excellent simulants.

I'm sorry your fish is still sick:( My LFS has all natural products they say are good for ich like ich attach, but it seems from web posts that its kind of hit or miss. I wish I knew more to help.

Could he do a freshwater dip to try to get rid of the ich, if that's indeed what it is. I've heard mixed things about how effective freshwater dips are for ich, but if it's a parasite, it seems like it should be at least somewhat effective.

fw dips are very effective at getting rid of the ich parasites that are on the fish. The problem is that the ich will re-appear if the tank is infested. I don't see any ich on his fish anyway but getting it eating is most important. I wouldn't want to expost the fish to the stress of a fw after 2 wks of not eating.

Thank you all again for very helpful advices.
I should not try freshwater dip yet. I want her to eat well first. Guess I should try live brine shrimp method. Let me try it and I will post an update later. Wish me luck guys! :)
