Hi there,
I have 2 feather dusters that my clownfish seem to hate. I think they just want something to host but whatever the reason they started ripping the dusters apart. I ended up covering the dusters with 20 oz pop bottles that I cut slits and holes into for flow. One of the dusters dropped it's crown the day after I covered it, it was really beat up. The other one is doing well now that it's covered. Just yesterday the duster that had dropped it's crown re-appeared with a new, very tiny crown. I was sooo happy to see it back out. Well, during the night last night the pop bottle must have come off and (I assume) the clowns ripped off the new crown. A few hours after I turned the tank lights on I saw the naked top of the worm- it's head or mouth or whatever it is(!) at the top of the tube. I just checked it out just now and that (mouth) part is laying on the sand. It's short, 1/3 inch or so. What's going on? Isn't the worm inside longer than that? I'm so confused!
