Is my GBTA alive??

Well, I upgraded to a 120 gallon tank and about a month ago I transferred my GBTA into the tank. The GBTA was moving around at first then started settling into its home. The unfortunate part of it was Wednesday night in was sucked into the Koralia 3 powerhead. I noticed it on Thursday morning and immediately turned off the pump. It was torn apart but started moving around.

My question is, will it survive and heal itself? I'm guessing, no. Also, my clowns seem to be lost in the tank. Any thoughts?

Do you have a picture of the anemone? I have heard stories where a BTA will heal but it depends on how damaged it was. Did you do a water change after your noticed the damaged or try to get some of the torn peices out? Since it is Sunday how is it doing now? Foot shredded? A picture is worth a thousand words.

I did not do a water change after the damage. Attached is a current picture. The foot doesn't seem to be shreaded.

I have a ton of these type anemones and they can be very hardy. I would say to leave it alone and make sure your water quality is good and keep the water movement and light good and it will repair itself quite quickly.

Now that its injured best to just leave it alone. I had an anemone hang wilted for 3 months under a rock before it recovered, so dont panic.

The fact that its moving around in the first place tells me something may be wrong with water or its not getting the light or water movement that it wants or needs. So check these things and make improvements if you can without disturbing him to much.

I cant seem to find a picture. But I also agree with Larry in that the best thing to do is maintain good water parameters and not touch it (causes even more stress). What are your parameters?

Obviously, I'm doing something wrong if you can't see the picture and I'm able to see it.

I think the reason it is moving around is becuase its in a new tank and trying to find its lighting and flow position.

Ca 450
Alk 7.7
Mag 1150 (trying to increase it to 1350 over multiple days)
phos 0
NO2 0
NO3 0
