Is my new Carpet Nem looking good?

I've never had anemone before and I finally bought this one because it had such a beautiful red. I'm currently running Coralife power compacts and I just bought a aquaticlife 24w LED setup since my tank is only a 20g long with a 12" depth, so I should be fine.

Please give me some feedback saying this guy is in fine health. It's only been 5 days.

He is beautiful, but still retracted and not settle yet, maybe a little bleached. Is he a Maxi Mini?

Out of the 6+ years of doing this, I have never seen a nem that color. Is that a true carpet or a big maxi?

The longer tentacle on the edge help ID this as a Maxi Mini. However from the picture he seem big. I am not sure the size of him but Maxi Mini can reach 7-8 inches.

Never said, but IMO it looks like a maxi mini.. I cant tell by not ever seeing those colors is a bad thing or a good thing?
Looks to be doing alright I agree with Minh. Your lighting should be enough too. Great looking nem:)
Thank you sir :)

Hes not very big at all, this is a 20 gallon tank, and Id say realistically in this picture he is about 4 inches. In the store he opened up to about half a foot from what I remember.

He may move a little. Maxi Mini is not really particular where they live other than not on the sand bed. He will move up into the rock.

Check the FAQ's at the top of the Nem & Clown forum, particularly The Anemone FAQ, which will download a PDF to your computer. I don't see the maxi-mini/Stichodactyla tapetum listed as a host species.

They are not natural host of clown fish. They do host crabs and shrinp, especially Sexy shrimp. A. clarkii have been know to host by Tapetum in aquarium.
