S.G: 1.023
ph : 8.1
mag: 1400
ca: 480
alk: around 2.8

i see ppl posted alk:8-11 dkh
i test with redsea and its say 1-.7 to2.8 is normal and 2.9 - 3.6 is high can some one explain me this? or is there a formula that convert to a diff #?

thanks

are you measuring your alk in meg/L. If so, If you multiply your reading of 2.8 meg/L. by a constant of 2.8 you will get the dkh. How old is the tank and what are the other prams? Phosphate, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate. Are you going to be keeping SPS corals, mixed, (sps and lps) softies, or fish only.

so 2.8x2.8=7.8dkh? is that in an avg range?
my tank been up about 2 months, its will be zoas/palys and a couple of sps. right now i have 1 clown and some zoas in there.
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: <12ppm

is there a chart what everything should be? like if your s.g is 1.025 your calcium should be higher then 1.022

thanks again.
