Is My RBTA Ok...Is This Normal??

Just wondering if this is normal?

My RBTA went from this:

To this:

In just under 1 hour. No slime, nothing being expelled, hasn't moved since I got it.

Params:

Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - 0
Nitrate <5
PH - 8.1
Salinity 1.027

I'm assuming it will open back up? The only thing that changed in the last 24 hours was adding 5 astrea snails and 1 turbo snail. None of them are dead so it's not rotting flesh. The fish are fine too.

This is a newly acquired one, correct? At this point, I wouldn't be too concerned, it is most likely doing an internal water change. However, if it starts doing this daily, I would start to be concerned.

Ha, here's just one for now. I'm kind of embarassed to post with the nasty hair algae growing on the back wall. Going to deal with that this week.

Mine did the exact same thing a hand full of times in the past. It's not done it in awhile now. It doesn's seem to be the worst for it. I read somewhere it's just purging itself of inpurities.
Now my problem with it is it's growing too fast/big.
