Is my RBTA splitting/dying? <pic inside>

So about 24 hours ago my nem got up and moved for the first time in 5 months - or ever actually. He's now huddled up in the bottom corner of the tank. I checked all my parameters and nothing is out of wack. The nitrates are <10 (just tested about 5 minutes ago) and all of my other inverts/corals look normal.

So my question is, is he splitting or dying? Here's a pic:

Could be either or but most likely by the looks of it the anemone is performing an internal water change, or excreting waste. If it is dying it will disintegrate.
