Is my sun coral a goner?

I just brought my new sun coral home from the LPS and when I saw one head has partially to almost completely died back (I don't know how I missed it at the store). The rest of it looks great and has even able to feed it when my light kicked off. What if anything can I do to save my sun coral?

Im sure someone might be able to give more advice than me, but I would just continue feeding the heck out of it and flow, Tubastrea LOVE lots of broad flow, even if its laminar, they still dig it.

How are you feeding it? target? top of a soda bottle? remove from display during W/C?

Your fine. i have black sun coral colony bleach most part of an entire branch, got back to normal within proper feeding(after not being f at all ed for around 10 weeks, long story.) as long as algae doesnt start to takeover where there was color loss you should be fine

Had a buddy that would hang a box in the tank, place it in it nightly and feed. The darn thing was so trained from this, the PE was nuts as it fed separate of tank flow etc.

except for that one polyp, I think this is a better-looking specimen than is usually found at most LFS. Just feed it a lot and often.
