is my toadstool dying

today I was looking @ my toadstool and I noticed the his toe is that how you call it, not sure, is tearing apart it was stock to some rock and now is loose and just laying on top of them, all the little tips are turning white and it looks like is shrinking from the bottom up help what do I do don't want it to mess up my param's:sad2: if its dead or dying

post a pic so we can see it.. if the foot is disintegrating I would cut it above where it is falling apart

any reason why it does that I mean I saw it when I got from work and it still opening up I mean I don't have experience fragging but aren't you not suppose not to cut the foot I'll try to take a pick but am having problems with photobucket

you can cut a leather off anywhere(foot, middle of stalk, crown), if it has to be done in tank i would run a big bag of carbon though

actually right now its loose so I can pull it out of the tank ,how do I go about this just cut with a sharp blade and then, any type of rinse should I give it dip or just put it back

It would be best to use a new sharp razor blade and try to do one clean cut. Try not to crush the flesh. When you take it out, if you see its foot is torn or turning funky, cut abouve this to try and avoid infections as much as possible.

slice and dice man...you can turn any leather into 100 pieces if you wanted too...the will grow from anything...even the little chunk you leave behind when cutting it from the rocks will grow back...

are there any discoloration, deflation, polyp extension... anything other than it turned loose?
