This is my yellow tang. He seemed off but I didn't realize he had gotten so thin
. The only time he had seemed animated was when I put food in the tank and he appeared to be going after food so I thought he was eating.
I've just put in a hospital tank after I saw that the puffer took a bite out of his fin and that he had some spots. The puffer has never hurt any of my fish before but the LFS said the tang had gotten so weak that puffer went after him. I'm treating him with Melafix that the LFS gave me for the bacterial infection.
I think he had an intestinal blockage? He had a swelling right at his anus that I gently pressed on and some fecal matter was expelled. He doesn't seem to have anything else in his digestive system. If this was preventing him from eating will he begin to get better? He isn't showing any interest in eating
He keeps laying almost horizontally against things in the tank. He doesn't appear to be gasping.
Some things I have read online suggest that he is too far gone but I really want to try to save him anyway. I have posted before about this fish but he had always seemed better with a water change? I feel so wretched that he got so sick and I didn't notice.
Please help.
