Is Night Mode automatic?

Roger,
I have the light sensor hooked up to my multi controller (actually forgot that I connected it a few months ago). Does the controller automatically slow down when it gets dark or is there a setting or switch I need to enable?

Thanks,
Mike

Night Mode switches the pumps to whatever setting 2 is so if your bottom knobs are low flow, it slows down, it mainly eliminates the pulse.

Roger,

I have 1 Stream 6100 only at present with the Multicontroller, will it work in night mode.
The setting at the moment is, pulse at 30% & 100%, and the mode switch is in the middle position, but it still alternates betwen pulse when the lights are off.
Have I set it up right?

It should work. Make sure the photocell is connected. Sometimes the socket isn't exactly aligned with the hole in the housing and you have to push firmly. Also, make sure the photocell isn't getting any light at night.

Roger,

Thanks for that. It works BUT only when I have the pulse length at it's minimum. When I increase the pulse length, it does not work. Any idea?

Kevin

I have never really understood why but sometimes the controllers have what I would call a phantom memory and get stuck on an old setting you put in. If you completely disconnect the power sometimes that fixes it. It might also be a bad photocell, perhaps the voltage is high enough to override the resistance- it could also happen if some light is getting to it.
