Is pond liner reef safe?

I was going to use a stock tank for a fuge but I went to measure it and it's wider than I wanted Im trying to find a 5ft 100 gal tank but there not that abundant. So can I use pond liner or something similar?

I have seen a LFS with trough coral tanks using white rubber roofing material, but I don't know how "safe" it was.

It is reef safe. Theres a guy with a thread on here that has a 10' look down pond in his basement that uses a rubber liner.

Nice I'll look that up and see exactly what he used I may end up with a 200 gal fuge lol.
