Is Ricordea slime poisonous?

I just handled my ricordea mushroom, and it felt as though there was a small layer of slime from it on a couple of my fingers. I was just wondering if this slime is poisonous to humans or not. I'm not worried about it, but would like to know more about ricordea slime, and if there is any other info you know, please tell me! Thanks!

Should not be. But some people are allergic to bees and cats and could suffer reactions to them and they are not poisonous. There also may be harmful bacteria or pathogens growing in the slime. It is always best to wash your hands after working in your tank and try not to ingest anything. :)
A friend of mine brakes out in hives every time he gets near frozen blood worms. Or cleans a tank in which they have been fed.

I've never tried to taste it or anything... handled dozens without any problems. I always wear latex gloves when I handle anything and sometimes thicker aquarium gloves. Just be careful not to get the secretions in your eyes, nose mouth etc. you should be fine. they do get slimy though.
