Is Rubbermaid Brute garbage can aquarium safe?

Is this can aquarium safe for RO and salt water storage?
Any hazard material leaks in the water?

Brand new: no problem; I'd skip trying to rehabilitate a used garbage can. I used rubbermaid stock tanks as a refugium/sump, great fun and easy to fit everything in there if you have space.

Keep the salt water brute wiped down when emptied and lid secured, you shouldn't have problems.

Sorry I am late but make sure it has the USDA certification label, some do not. I use the white ones, but they come in different colors
