Is sexy shrimp safe with wrasse?

My nice expensive sexy shrimp lasted about 5 seconds in my AP12g. My ocellaris clowns ate a couple each, and then the Pseudochromis swooped in to finish off the last one. That was one expensive meal. I love the look of the sexy shrimp, but trying to find them fully grown is just about impossible. If mine were bigger they might have stood a chance.

Do you think adding sexy shrimp in before any other livestock will create a type of hierarchy? Basically being that the shrimp is already comfortable with his environment.

Wow! Thanks.

my 12g nano came with a sexy shrimp. I added an osc. clown that was decent size, but no problems. Just added a 2nd clown--will have to keep a close eye.

rule of thumb, if it will fit the mouth, it will be eaten. that said, if you have adequate anenome for the shrimp to host and you feed the fish reqularly, the shrimp should make it. i have 4 w/ a starckii damsel and they're fine in the mini carpets.

I really want to try some sexy shrimp again....anyone know where to get some full grown ones that might stand a chance with my 2 big black false ocellaris clowns?

I have a sexy shrimp that hosts an alveapora and I have a 6-line, clown, pygmy angel, and blenny and have never had any problems

I have a peppermint shrimp with a large canary wrasse and a sixline and they don't pay any attention to it !
why not get one of those, plus he takes care of aptasia!
