Is the purchase worth it?

I was cruising my local reef clubs forum and someone is selling a DSA 185 with stand for $200.00. States that the one front vertical seam needs to be re-sealed and he included pics. Wanting to know if it is worth it to buy and try to re-seal myself? Thanks for the input.

Check the condition of the stand to see if it is of any real value. Disassembling and resealing a tank is a lot of work but is definitely doable.

Thanks for the input Dave. I may go by and check it out this week sometime after work. Now when you reseal a tank, even if you do one side is it wise to go ahead and break the whole tank down and reseal everything?

In for a penny, in for a pound, but for this much time and effort they should be paying you. Yes, I would redo the whole tank.
