Is there somthing you can use to remove heavy metals?

This is to remove it from fresh water?

I'd be careful, as those will really only remove dissolved ions, and not particulates. Those who do use RO/DI often get a ton of crap clogging their sediment filters, and those are probably mostly metal-containing solids (like iron). While iron itself is not a problem, they may contain other metals as well that might dissolve in the tank.

This is kind of an odd question, but my bathtub drips and after a week or so it starts to turn the tub blue around the drain.

Is this likely to be copper or iron?

I'm curious to know because my cats insist that this be the only way they drink because their water bowl is only for dipping their paws in.

Copper. Iron is reddish/brown.
Thank you!

You're so awesome. :)
