Is this a decent light brand ?

The will work for what you are wanting to keep. Though many people will tell you to not to skimp on the lighting, but you have to do what what you have.

EDIT: Since your tank is pretty deep for the light, try to keep all your corals atleast 6 to 10 inches from the bottom minimum.

With the fire chances, well....just keep an eye out and warn your family.

are they safe to keep? cause I have heard some bad experience with this light,, and I don;t want to light my house on fire.... lol

I would guess that your limited replies are directly related to the two companies your asking about. Both seem to have very rocky reps.

Lighting is crazy money but I don't think that light will do much for a 30" deep tank. You would be better served with a metal halide pendant type fixture or one of those clamp-on units. There are usually some for sale used here but usually you'll need new bulbs.
