Is this a friend or Foe?

I’ve been curing new live rock in a tank by itself. The live rock has gone through it’s cycle and I have cleaned off hair algae of the rocks twice now. I’ve change 50% of the water a few times. Now I have noticed these white specs on the glass. Looking through a magnifying glass they look like some sort of plant or spider looking kind of thing. Can anyone tell me what these are? Is it a friend or foe. If it is a bad thing what’s the best way to get rid of them?

Hundreds of them on the glass:

This is a close up of one of them, wicked or no?:

I think I've seen other posts on these, and they're a small form of a jellyfish and usually disappear after a while. I think they're harmless, but hopefully you'll get a better qualified response.

Thanks for everyones help. Someone said something that started me looking in a different direction with google. Then I found a link that had a name. That led to some pictures that were exactly what I have. So I thought I would share the best of the links that I found. This is what I have...
