I have a 56 gallon reef tank and looking to get a black and white clown fish, blue spot jawfish, bluejaw trigger and either a powder brown tang or whitecheek tang...would that be too much?
Why don't you stock for the tank you have instead of shoving fish that will get far too large. Minimum tank size is just that, for a very small sized specimen, both triggers and tangs grow fast and eat a ton, they are also active swimmers that need space. Finding a new home isn't always easy, nor is breaking down an entire tank trying to catch a fish out.
I would look into dwarf angels, hawkfish, smaller wrasses, gobies, blennies, etc. Also research farther into tank sizes and compatibility than just a site that is trying to sell you fish.
which site and which trigger? dont put him down when he is just asking for ideas. there is the toby puffer who doesnt get bigger than 4ish inches i believe. that might be an option.
