Is this a good deal?

I am looking at an Aquacontroller Jr.. No serial port. Comes with a DC8 and a temp probe. For 150 shipped. Is this a good deal?

i had the same thing & that is what i sold it for.....

i can't even tell ya how many people backed out once i reminded them it didn't have the serial port...but if you have no interest in doing the data logging & graphs, who cares?!?!?!

reefkeeper lite level 1 is $149, but that is only dc4...to get a dc8, you have to goto level 2 @ $209, but that gives you the optional module to plug in a ph probe....but the acjr has that already (probes on acjr plug into the display/brain whereas the reefkeeper2, they plugged into the dc8). personally i liked that better since you could mount the display for the reefkeeper in a always viewable spot & not have to worry about the wiring for the probes...personal choice though

so in summary....if you don't care to do data logging & graphs, yes that is a good deal

The big thing (to me) the serial port allows for is wiring in a top off switch so you can use ATO.

That does seem to be a pretty good deal, though, Thomas.
