Is this a good or bad worm?

Also called fire worm. Touch it and you'll find out why lol. They are a good part of your clean up crew IF they are kept in check. When they over populate you'll get stung every time you reach in your tank.

I would get rid of any that get large in the display tank. They become predatory as they get bigger and can kill fish. Ie sleeping wrasses etc. Definitely use tweezers.

I have never heard of a bristle worm eating any fish that was healthy. More likely the fish was sick and dying and they did their job and cleaned up the carcass.
If you get to many, Arrow crabs love to eat them. Fun to watch them stab them and then tear them apart and eat.
Their bristles do not cause me much pain, but they sure make my fingers swell up! If you touch one you will get hundreds of very fine bristles in your fingers. The best why to remove the bristles, is to soak you fingers in vinegar and dissolve them.

Bristle worms are NOT fire worms...bristle worms are good as long as they don't get huge and over populate....fire worms will hurt horribly if you touch one ...very easy to tell apart...Google pics
