is this a good skimmer? top fathom?

Actually, I have one running right now, still! They were a fairly popular company 15 years ago or so. I'm running a TF300. It has always worked fine. Prior to this one I had a smaller one but I don't remember the designation of it. They work pretty good for a venturi skimmer. The body is an opaque plastic so you can't see whats going on inside but it has held up well for at least the 15 years I've run it, and I bought it used. I think they lost the market to the clear cast acrylic tubes because frankly, the clear ones LOOK way cooler! I'd say for the price, give it a shot!

I'll go ya one better, If you don't get it, let me know. I could really use a much bigger one so, I think I'd buy it if it can be shipped.

If your going to go with that size skimmer, you'll probably want to run it in it's own sump. I've got a home built system. The skimmer is about 10" dia. and 6 feet tall. It holds about 30G of water it's self and sits in it's own 30G sump which is plumbed into a 90-G sump under the tank. Works great though on my 400G tank so it might be a bit of overkill on a 210.
