I found this little guy climbing up my glass today, he has bristles on his shell, so I am leery to touch him because i don't know if he is poisonous, right now i have him in a dish.

Looks like a cowie? Hopefully someone else will chime in with a more positive id.
Good move on not touching it, however, he cannot hurt you either way but good thinking incase there are no poisonous snails.. there is one family of venomous snails which are lethal in most cases called conidae (cone snails) but this is definitly not one of them.
I bet the 'bristles' are some sort of algae, as I'm pretty sure there are no bristly-shell snails. Does its flesh appear to go over its shell? That would mean it's a harmless cowry.
