Is this a happy clam or not?

Some pics for him: He seems to be happy, growing, adding scutes, full mantle extension. But his mouth seems to open a little wider than I have seen in other clams. He is a Squamosa. The pics suck, sorry, but the size of his open mouth is always the same.

I have two sets of lights for the tank (a 29 bow front), a 110 watt PC with mixed daylights and actinics, and a 110 watt PC with mixed daylights and actinics.

One is set up about 4 inches above the water line, the other is about 2 inches above the water line.

Had him about 6 months. Last month I started lightly feeding Kent Marine ZooPlex, not just for him but for the other corals as well.

When I drip the food into the tank, he retracts his mantle quickly. I'm guessing he doens't like the flavour, so I've stopped for now.

Since I've had him, his shell has grown an inch, his mantle is 2 inches enxtended with two new scutes.

Naturally I'm terrified of harming him
