Is This A Mushroom?

This originally came on a misc. piece of Live Rock, and I thought that it was a Mushroom like the rest. But now I'm not so sure?

If I place it flat onto the sand, it has about a 4 inch diameter when it fluffs out. But up on the rock it stays curled up around the outer rim. It also has these tassle-like edges, not round like the others.

Is it okay on the rock like that, or should I try to find a more flat area for it?

It looks uncomfortable like that, but how do I know what a Mushroom feels? :bigeyes:

It's fine where it is. They don't get sore backs or cramped legs like we do.
