Is this a nuisance worm? (Pic)

I think regardless of what it is, it's up to the owner on whether he wants one in there or not. Personally, if I knew there was one that big in my tank, I wouldn't want to run the risk of touching it. It's already bad enough when a small one touches me.

last time i got a bad fire worm sting it hurt for over a week. skin peeled off in the area and it was tender but no real problems. IMO that looks more like a fire worm but there are so many species of worms its hard to say for sure.. i say "when in doubt flush the sucker" sorry to those who think thats harsh but id rather save a piece of coral or a finger than a worm.

Here's a tip for dealing w/ bristles from bristleworms stuck in your your fingers - hold your fingers in a cup of vinegar until the bristles dissolve. I tried this recently and it took less than 10 minutes - not a trace left! I used white vinegar, though I doubt the type would matter.

Vinegar works great, so will straight Kalk powder.

As for the worm, you can shove a piece of nearly rotting shrimp in a snail shell and he will come running, gauanteed. He will crawl all the way in to get the meat. You can do with him what you want at that point. Fuge?
