Having some STN on my smooth skin acros. My red dragon actually RTNd. I thought this was due to an alk spike, but after reviewing some pcitures I noticed something.

Here's a before and after I blew the hell out of it with a turkey baster. Whatever it is, it's not on there anymore.

sorry.. really can't tell from those photos ..
I see the spots but the shots just aren't clear enough..

I've seen photos of those "red bugs" before on acros, pictures are a bit blurry but it's hard to get a decent photo of the bugs since they are so tiny anyway. I'm pretty sure they are a parasite, you probably would've had better luck sucking them off of it with the turkey baster than blasting them since they are still in the tank somewhere. Not sure how to get rid of them myself, but a few searches for red bugs on acros should help.

Yes, to correctly ID red bugs a good quality macro shot needs to be taken to confirm, however if confirmed the best course of action is to try to obtain the dog/cat medication called Interceptor, and treat accordingly, Its super easy, super safe, only trick is finding a "chill" vet that will give you it. Providing print outs of red bug treatment protocols and pics of your aquarium as well as pics of red bugs on the coral if you have macro lenses/ nice camera can help sway the Vets mind to prescribe you the interceptor. Once you have it read Dustin Dortons protocol on treating and go from there.
