Hello, I have this beautiful Sailfin tang and the other day I noticed this....white stuff on one of his fins. I don't know what it is. He is not acting strange or anything; he is not rubbing up against any rocks or anything and appears to be feeding fine. I am going to post some pics. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Again, if anyone has any ideas what that white stuff is and/or if I need to be worried about it. I don't remember it being on there when I got him.

Thanks in advance!!!

Years ago I had some fungus like that on a fish and I used some Povidone Iodine (came from Walgreens) on a Q-tip to wipe the fish’s fin with. It seem to take care of it. I had to remove the fish from the water and lay him on a wet paper towel while I did it. Dip the paper towel in tank water. I also washed the fish on in a bucket of tank water before I put him back in. Flush the bucket of water afterward.
Note at the time I did this I was very new in the hobby and this may not have been the best solution. But seems to work.
