is this a pyram snail

are these pyram snails I have had at least 3 crocea clams die on me.They tend not to open fully.I have had 3 die on me after a few months but I don't know why.My paramaters are fine yet clams tend not to open fully and after a couple of months they die.I do notice growth rings but like I said clam never stays open like in the pics I see here.I hope the pics I posted are good.If not someone let me know if I can e-mail them a pic.Thanks

but there are about 1000 differant types of pyrams and not all of them feed on clams or both clams and snails

what fish do you have,please list all of them even if you dont think they could be a problem

3 yellow tang 1 purple tang 1 kole tang 6 green chromis 1 flame angel 1 marooon clown 1 wrasse sort of red pink and blue I don't know what type it is but I don't see it near the clams.I don't see it picking on them either I think its some kind of fairy wrasse.

its not agressive towards the clam. I don't see him picking at the clam.It is well fed so its nice and fat.

that may be so! but they are sneeky SOBs. i have a Coral Beauty, it is not alowed with clam any more, grab a brew pull up a chair and watch for at least a few hours, or cut the top off a 2l bottle drill holes or cut slates in it for flow and place it over the clam and see if it gets better

i will try to monitor it to see if he attacks the clam.I found the clams that did die rotted from inside like they had some hole in the clam.underneath the hook and front part of clam.I want to know how I can post a pic it would make things more simple.How do I get rid of the flame angel?I will never be able to catch it.

there will be link bars that pop up that contain the info from the pic you chose, from the top count down to the 4th one and click on it.

then go to your tool bar click edit,then copy

then go to the thread that you want to post in, click once in that thread, then back to edit and click paste
