Is this a Red Sea Regal Angel?

My LFS has a Regal Angel that looks like this below and he isn't sure if it's the yellow belly variety. I am uncertain myself. It's about 3.5" and I am wondering if it's still too young to determine. Can some Regal experts tell me if this is the the Red Sea variety? I guess what I am unsure of is the color phases that this fish may go through as it grows. Of course an adult Red Sea is unmistakable, I just don't know about these adolensence.

you forgot your pic...but in saying that can guarantee that it is not a red sea regal, these have not been exported for 3-4 years. You can still get yellow bellied regal's and they look the same and are the same as the red sea variety but come from elsewhere like some parts of indonesia etc.

There is nobody exporting anything from the Red Sea recently because of the political problems there. So, if it is a recent import it is not from the Red Sea...

Hey Luiz, do you know if juvenile Red Sea exhibit the same yellow belly as the adults? If so, at what size could this be clearly identifiable?

All of the fish I saw here (even small juveniles) had the yellow belly...

Imports must be resuming. LA has both Purple & Sohal tangs from the Red Sea.

Great to know there is fish coming from the Red Sea, I thought it was going to take a lot longer with the political instability here. So, it is possible that you have one, we will be able to tell for sure if you post a photo.

There are red Sea fish from Yemen , no fish from Saudi for very long time, they had the best fish and best variety.

The yemen exporter not sending many regals out, very few.
