Is this a Sponge??

Please let me know what you thing. Its almost cotton candy looking in texture and coated in what looks like cobwebs or a white dust?

Tough call based on that pic. But I'd say sponge.

Based on your description I'd say not a sponge.

It appears to have 'holes' in it. Look at most sponges and they have holes used like exhaust vents to pump out water after they have filtered out the organic stuff from the water they take in through the rest of the sponge.

I think NuttyD is correct looking at pictures of CCA. It has no holes and if I blow my turkey baster at it it kind of deflates like there is air in it. Ill try and get a better pic for you. I attached to others. Sorry its a BowFront so its a pain to get pics from the front.
