is this a welk?

found a couple of these, they only stay on rocks. put one on the sand and he went right back to the rocks... i thought a welk had a shell "plug" on its foot, and i don't think this had one...
what do you think?

I believe you have a columbellid snail, which if it is, it's a harmless grazer. Hopefully our local experts will chime in...
