Hi,

I need to find out what kind of fish I have. Some say it's a Platinum and some say it's a WW. I counted the dorsal spines, but I'm not sure if the count is correct.

Attached is the picture. Please help.

I think it is a ww. It looks to have a black iris and the markings also indicate it plus the dorsal spikes I count 11 like you percs are only 10

It isn't a Wyoming White which are Oc. The anterior dorsal is shorter than than the posterior giving it away as an percula for sure.

that is a WW. WW have orange fins and plats usually have black fins especially as adults. flameangel9 has a beautiful pair to compare your to.

but how many websites are you gonna post this all over? you have "His" male your pic looks exactly like the video so your theory about a plat switcheroo is incorrect.

As you can see some say it's a WW and some it's a Plat. I just want to be sure as I do not trust the source. I do not have a theory, and my goal is not to make any false accusations, so I'm checking. Please note I did not mention anything on ReefCentral except for the fish.

As of now about 80% of those (including breeders) I asked told me it is a Platinum Percula, so obviously it's not that easy to distinguish them.

Having said that I do believe flameangel9 knows what he is saying as he has them.
Thank you.

take a right at the atm, left at the bank, another left at the loan shark followed by a right just beyond the craps table.

thank god i'm not the only one with a house of clowns. although i don't have WW''s. a breeder i know has a spawning pair but the eggs keep getting eaten.
