Is this an encrusting monti?

My wife bought a rock the other day because she liked the Christmas Tree worms in it. While they are colorful I am more interested in the encrusting coral that covers the rock they are in. They have a small brown polyp and the base is starting to color up green. Is this an encrusting monti? Thank you.

Hey Chad! Long time no see! How's Kansas treating you? I guess you got a new tank?

Same ol stuff around here.

Take care,
Chris

Hi Chris. Things going well here except for the wind chill. :) Here is a pic of my current project, I still have trim work left to do, but I think the aquarium is healthy.

Thank you everybody for the Porites ID. I must do more reading on them right now.

My favorite part is the secret book case passage into the fish room. I always wanted a house with a secret passage. The counterweighting is all done but I still need to finish it out.

It looks like I have the Porites coral located in a good place in my tank according to the info I read. Sure hope it continues to color up with that lime green.

I don't have any recent pics of the book case, but you'll get the idea.
