Is this Aptasia?

Hi all,

Im a long term lurker who has learnt a lot from reading on this forum.

Ive had my 29G tank set up for about 15 months now and overall, its been going well with all the great info.
Only 1 death due to carpet surfing (darn those fish can fit in the smallest holes) because of heavy construction vibration outdoors.

I was recently gifted my first coral, some kind of Zoanthus Polyp which I did a bayers soak. Its now been about a week and the coral is showing good expansion but I just noticed these other "things" which I at first thought was new growth but Im starting to suspect might actually be aptaisia.

Ive now moved the coral to my quarantine tank while I try to identify if it actually is aptaisia.

Any one care to confirm if Im correct on my identification?

Also, could anyone identify what kind of polyp I actually have?

Thanks for your help and long live this great hobby.

Hmm unfortunately, my lights dont give off the best color for the corals but they are usually more orange and the middle is yellowish/green.

Cant wait to set up my 120G so I can set up my T5 lights instead of this crappy Fluval LED.
