Is this Birdsnest Dieing

I just bought this birdnest today. And, didn't notice how much white it has on it, until I placed it under my lighting. The LFS had it in a tank with one blue light, was not very brightly lit.

Is it already dieing?

Help. Should I take it back?

I'd take it back as there seems to be a problem with all the bleaching from the base. If you keep it, you'll probably need to frag off the healthy areas away from the bleached and let it try to start fresh. Doesn't sound like your LFS had it under proper lighting. Good luck.

If you're going to be keeping stony corals, I suggest monitoring your alkalinity and magnesium levels in addition to what you've provided above.

If this is because of lighting issues it could recover quite fast. However i would at least call the LFS, and ask them what to do.
