These are newly imported clowns. Because subject fish are clownfish I immediately assumed it was brook but now I am thinking it could be Velvet. Please comment what you think. Thank you.

Looks like brook to me. I had both velvet and brook at different times. The one thing I noticed with brook is the peeling of the slime coat. And boy are you lucky showing improvement so fast. I did not have much success especially after condition was not so good

I'm really struggling to keep the little fella alive. He can't take the treatment and the parasite still attacks him. The clowns stays at the bottom looking sick. The larger clown is improving though. Sigh.

I have bad news and good news. Little clown didn't make it. I was sad...it was small and fragile. But the larger clown ate Mysis shrimp today. Woohoo! Still feel sad losing the little fella.

The clown has now gone through a 5 day formalin dip treatment. Let's see if she actually makes it bc I ain't torturing her like that anymore. Formalin is almost as brutal as Brooklynella itself. Let nature take its course.

I found that daily dips were too much. I went back to my original plan of dips every other day which the fish tolerated much better.

Yeah, daily dips are harsh. Every other day sounds reasonable. However, I don't think my female would've made it if I didn't do daily dips. Hopefully nobody has to deal with brook ever but that's not realistic.
