Is this Bryopsis?

Or just some other nasty algae thriving on my bad parameters?

I suspect it is the same as another algae I put in another post since the tanks are running off the same sump. Maybe they grow differently under the different flow and lighting.

This is the same stuff in the same tank, but I just thought someone would like to play find the gobies.

I have normally seen bryopsis described as a feather like tip. The first pic stuff is very stringy. Seems to flourescent for Hair alage. It may be some sort of sea grass.

Bryopsis has feathery, pinnated fronds. That looks more like Derbesia. Is it firmly attached to the rock and difficult to pull out?

I second Burris. Looks more like derbesia than bryopsis. Not sure it matters though, it's a pain to get rid of either way...

Just call it a planted tank and tell people it's supposed to be there. It's much it's easier that way.

Derbesia, some Tangs, and other herbivores may eat it. a seahare will devour it, but may get into unprotected powerheads.
