So I have been reading that alot of people fill up some thing called a refuge with "cheeto" so I decided to try it me self with an old HOB filter some some cheeto. It seems to be working fairly well but it kinda of smells funny. it also dis-colored my water. the bag of cheeto said "crunchy" so I don't know if thats good or bad, my LFS said it should be fine.

If you're talking about that yellow stuff, that's not chaeto. Chaetomorph is a macroalgea, it's alive and is green. Kinda like a real coarse, curley hair. I don't know what the yellow stuff is.

LOL....that yellow stuff indeed is Cheeto......( the orange color must have washed out)....regardless....nice joke there........

The yellow stuff is cheetos. The crunchy chips. They're cheesy. Wrong cheetos. I think the OP is joking. At least I hope so.

Funny stuff!! Good one...i think the fire cheeto's work the best! And the freeto's work as well. (if you don't get it, please don't try this) You know someone's gonna try!!

Did this person really put cheeto's in there?? hahahaha

It looks like they did to me. That really wont work for removing Nitrates!

I'm laughing in my cube. Very creative. Should we put a disclaimer on this.....

PLEASE DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!
