is this enough flow?

I currently have about 700 gph (estimated) from my return pump and a rio 900 in my 75g tank. Is this enough? I was thinking of replacing the rio with a seio.

As you learn more about this Great hobby you will find that water flow recomendations are different for different types of tanks.. (some need more than others) What are you trying to use tank for? (IMHO,you do not have enough water flow for most tanks) if you go seio-- get 2 1500s..

I meant to say a maxijet 900, not rio.

It's a mixture of lps and sps.

I have an eductor on the return outlet, which noticeably increases the water movement, so it may even be higher than 700.

It really depends on the type of tank you are keeping. If you plan to or have a SPS dominant reef then I don't believe you have near enough flow. Softies and LPS require much less flow.

Well my 40g breeder is going to be a Montipora sp. (SPS if you didn't know) tank and I am looking at using 2 seio 620 and a pan world 40px for my return. That will bring me up to about 1620 (620X2=1240+380 from pan world) total 1620gph or 40X turnover. Now if the tunze nano streams come out soon I will change over to those in the display over the seio's. HTH
