is this enough light?

for about the same price you could get VHO's...a lot better IMO then PC's...however you need to have a canopy to mount them in.

also, I would use 3 halides instead of two. it would give you a better coverage area.

i know, i was thinking that it wouldn't be enough with just 2.would 3 175watt MH lights do it? and also, could you give me a site for cheap VHO's and equipment to run them?

thanks, as a matter a fact, i'm getting the MH lights from hellolights.com could you also give me a website for VHO lights? they cost the same if not more(most websites i've checked out)

The perfect setup for your tank (assuming a canopy to mount them into) would be 3x250w 10k XM's halides (I prefer SE), and 2x160w URI super actinics. 3x175w would work as well, but if you are buying new you might as well get the 250's since price is comparable. I am using 175's over my 150g which is taller than your tank and it works fine, but I don't have anything high light towards the bottom.

Your tank isn't very deep. I would think 150 or 175 watt HQI bulbs would be plenty if you could mount three of them (depending on where your tank braces are mounted). As far as actinics, assuming you're using 10K MHs, I think only 4x65 PCs will look a little yellow.

I just got a 175watt MH retrofit from an Ebay store for my 24" tall 65gal AGA Megaflow tank.

It's turned out to be an excellent choice over 250watt MH's.

The kit comes with an ARO(HelloLighting) electronic 150/175 HQI ballast, true parabolic spider reflector and a Coralvue 10k bulb which looks excellent standalone(slight blue tint to it). $183 Total!

I'm adding 2 T5 HO's soon for dawn/dusk lower light supplementation.

This 175watt MH is working great for my SPS's up high and on the sandbed. My blastos had to be moved down to the mid-bottom of the tank, my zoos have to be relocated lower also.

If I would've gone with 250watts i'd have to re-aquascape my entire tank, make caves and shadowing ledges for my soft corals.

Anyhoo, I highly recommend the 175watt MH.
