It appears to be bryopsis, which is considered nuisance algae. If can really encroach on corals, so I would yank it out asap

I think the thalli looks a bit to thick/rough to be Bryopsis which normally have thinner/feather-like thalli.
I had some Bryopsis in the beginning and it looked like this:

It is very diffecult to say from that picture, but could it be some sort of Chaetomorpha?

I was thinking cheato myself. There are quite a few species only a couple are commonly found in the hobby.
