I have one that is very hardy and quite large, mine shows a deeper green with very purple tips when happy, here is a pic of my colony for reference...

what is the tank ht and how high did you leave your mh from the water level ?

I have had this one in low light and medium light, it seems to do well in both. I have it lit under 6 t5's and 1 250 watt 20k radium. My tank is 18" and the halide sits about 8" off the water. 4 of my t5's are 4" off the water. the other 2 are built into the halide unit which suspends above the tank.

2ft deep tank, with the bulb approx 30cm from the water in a lumenarc reflector.

here is a pic of it on the sandbed. i think they adapt to lighting conditions better than some other acro as it is now 4-5inched from the top of the tank and looks the same.
