Is this ich?

I purchased a juvenile emperor about 10 days ago.

With all my fish I do ttm as a preventative measure regardless if I see any signs of ich or not. I currently have my juvenile emperor in ttm as a precaution on transfer number 3 and I noticed this today on his tail fin. It's a bright white spot. Only see 1 apot.

Don't see other spots anywhere else.

Is this ich?

That little guy...Probably just a speck, but maybe lymphocystis...nothing serious.

If you are 3 transfers in, I would bet you won't see ich.

agree it could be lympho. keep an eye on it. If its still there in 3-5 days then its probably lympho. If its gone then might be ich.

Could just be a wound thats healing also.

Most times when a fish injures its fins, the healing part looks alot like it could be ich(white spot).

So it looks like whatever this is has spread to the dorsal fin. There's 2 more spots in the edge of the fin. Also see one on one gill.

He's currently going through ttm. On the last transfer. Is it wise to move him to dt after the ttm? He has been in qt for a month total. This is the only virus parasite I've seen.

If this is cause by stress I can't imagine that being in a qt would make it any better.

I suspect flukes. In which case TTM alone won't cure it. Get some Prazipro in QT. Get some DR G's antibacterial antibiotic to prevent any underlying bacterial infection.

Is it normal for lymph to be on the outer skin of the gills as per my photo below?

From what I'm reading it's better to put him in dt if it's lymph to reduce stress. Is this correct? He's been in quarantine for 30 days gone through 3 rounds of prazi and ttm.
