is this ich?

I just got this beautiful square anthias, and today I look in and he has these protrusions on his face, on the gills. Alas, I believe it to be ich, but I want a second opinion before I take action.

I'm in a state of desperation. My tank has gone through the worst luck I have ever heard of, and it's just starting to get healthier than it has ever been. If it's ich, I want to catch it early enough so that I can stop it.

If better pictures are needed, just ask, and I'll see what I can do.

not sure if it is white spot ich!!!!! keep an eye on him over the next hours & your other fish signs of flicking not eating etc but i know the feeling of bad luck i`ve just gone throw 5-6weeks of ich Lucky only one fish now has a 2 spots but gets less & less spots by the day so hopefully everything is going great once again but sadly i lost a scooter blenny due 2 ich but hopefully if you have white spot ich you will catch it early.....

you could start adding garlic to the food this will keep them eating & some say keeps ich at bay i`ve done this plus added a reef safe treatment with my ich and all the fish continued to eat & now hopefully are free of it seachem,kent & other brands do garlic to add 2 food

Looks like some type of worm protruding from the gills. I would suggest a series of formalin dips. I would also remove him to a qt tank...Prazipro is a good product to use for flukes. You could use the Prazipro in the qt tank and preform 3 formalin dips, 3 days apart.
