Is this normal behavior for a bicolor blenny?

For the last week I have noticed some of my turbo snails are ending up flipped over on my sand bed. I just thought they were falling off the rocks they are usually stuck to. I would flip them back over and watch them slowly move away. I was observing the tank today and saw my blenny swim by and basically head butt a turbo snail off a rock. He did the same thing about 5 minutes later to another snail.

This was all he did though. He did not go back to the snail to pick at it or do anything else.

Is he just horsing around? He shouldn't be hungry as he is fed twice a day and has grown to a good size. Just curious if this is typical behavior.

I would say yes. My bi-color blenny used to grab onto my hermits and shake them around just for fun (at least that was what it looked like). He also attached my one turbo but never was able to flip him over from what I could see. Probably just trying to eat algae off its shell. My blenny was also constantly nibbing on my SPS so last night I finally caught him and he will be going back to my LFS tonight. Sad since he was a very cool fish that was fun to watch.

I would have to agree with them being clowns. Mine is kind of silly. The only fish in my tank that will get in front of the sea swirl and swim real hard to stay there. And has been known to eat off the snails and hermits.

I saw him do it again yesterday. I have lost a couple of snails that I was not able to flip back over in time but oh well. I really like the personality of my blenny so I guess I will just have to put up with his antics and hope my CUC can take it.
