is this normal for a clown?

Hey i just got an ocellaris clownfish and its trying to host a fake anemone.....i feel rele bad for it....is this normal?
im gonna get a real anemone for it sometime this week....do you think it will switch to the live one?
god i hope it does! i feel rele bad for it!!

Nothing wrong with giving it a fake anemone until you are ready for a real one. My baby picassos use fake anemones and it makes them feel comfortable. If it wasn't there they would find a pump or something else to call home. I have others in real ones.

ok thx and do clownfish sleep? the lights in my tank have been off for a while and its in the top corner of the tank near my filter

Yes clowns sleep, mine sleep in the anemone or on their side in the sand.

the clown is now swimming along happily!!! it must have still bee getting used to the tank....when mine "sleeps" its always in motion and moves toward the filter...but during the day its active and looks healty!!!
