As of today I my leather is drooping, as of yesterday it was perfectly healthy. Is this normal behavior for leathers?
I have a 26 gallon bow with 2 mj1000 for flow, whisper filter for carbon and water movement, aqua c remora HOB skimmer, 2x 24" power compact 50/50s. I tested my water as followed, temp: 79.5, salinity: 1.026, PH 8.4, ammonia:0nitrite: 0, nitrate: 0, calcium: 490, magnesium: 1450, kh: 7.2, alk: 2.57, phosphates: .25, Ive had the leather since march of this year, and its been in the same spot since. Let me know if im forgetting anything.

Yeah, it is normal for leathers to be up and polyped out one minute and the next, down and deflated.

Mines been like that for 2 weeks,it goes from smooth to like "goosebumps" I thought it may be getting ready to shed.

Yep, normal.

Some are more temperamental then others. With my group of Toadstools, it often means one is getting ready to start a split soon. With some other leathers it simply means that a variable changed. I have a leather that is guaranteed to shed if I mess with the lighting or clean/adjust a powerhead.
